Case Study: Radiant Ceiling Panels at Jumping Mouse Children’s Center
In 2012, Jumping Mouse Children’s Center in Port Townsend, Washington expanded their children’s therapy facilities to include a newly purchased house directly behind the existing counseling center. As a non-profit that provides expressive mental health therapy to children, they needed a heating solution that was both safe and economical. Ten of Ducoterra’s 750 watt SolaRay panels provide silent, comfortable, and clean heat while maximizing energy efficiency for the children and therapists. The panels will effectively save Jumping Mouse approximately $400 a year in heating costs and $14,000 over the lifetime of the facility. The ceiling panels use 35% less energy than standard wall heaters and 50% less than baseboard heaters making them a successful heating solution for Jumping Mouse Children’s Center.
